Flexible Packaging Adhesives -AE Manager

About this Position Application Engineering (AE) – IMEA is part of the APP (Packaging Adhesives) SBU for IMEA region. It is a vital function in Business excellence and value addition / value selling by acting as a technical interface between customer and Henkel for all packaging adhesives in terms of product positioning /selection, Value engineering, structure developments, trainings, troubleshooting etc.

AE team is responsible for taking customer trials, product validation and testing and complaints resolution apart from supporting the Sales team, PD, BD, and Quality control team. This is also responsible for technical training to customers and also at the Flexible Packaging Academy sessions and creating and recording the value delivered for the customers to engage with Henkel.

What You´ll Do

• Responsibility to foster relationship with customer technical interface & enhance knowledge by working on global developments.
• Interact and be a problem solver with products and offering to customers and do value selling and project monitoring.
• Understand the technical requirements of customer by thorough analysis and solve complaints and technical difficulties in Adhesive laminations & Coatings.
• Compare competition products and technologies and understand market dynamics and work on new developments with respective teams.
• Internationals Exposure and world class set up to engage customers and support to grow business at a faster phase.
  
  

What makes you a good fit

• Minimum 15 years of industrial experience in the flexible packaging (Converting / Raw material suppliers) - Not for packaging development professionals with end users.
• Graduation in Engineering / Science with specialization in polymer science / packaging.
• Expertise in Adhesive lamination/ Hot melt / coatings/ Films - On the job in production / quality control and TCS / Application & R&D preferred.
• Understanding of the competitor market space and key customer / industry contacts in IMEA regions to be specific.
• Willing to travel on short notices within the region (IMEA) and be on the field as per need.
• Good presentation skills (Public speaking / training) & communication skills (Oral & Written) and a good command over English & one regional language.
• Strong attitude to be a team player and be able to manage the team with different skill set and get the job done.
• Self-motivated, taking initiative and willingness to learn and share new areas of expertise and create a positive work environment.
