Financial Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to the Director, FP&A. As a part of the FP&A team, you will play a key role in defining the financial and operational landscape of SingleStore. You will be the SME (subject matter expert) for Managed Services (MS) product line and support the Channel, Deal, and Revenue teams. Working closely with our Product and Revenue teams, you will dive deep into our Managed Services data and SFDC reports to create operational metrics to drive insightful and data-led business decisions. You will also be a strategic partner to the Channel team, helping with any operational requirements of our contracts with our Cloud Service Providers to ensure we maximize the value of our relationships with them.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the central Finance owner of our MS business
• Improve reporting and visibility of our MS business including Gross Margins for all customers and potential opportunities
• Manage Gross Margin reporting and forecasting
• Assist Channel team with any and all data requests and requirements for our CSP relationships
  
  

Key Experience

• Extensive experience with excel is required with advanced knowledge of keyboard shortcuts
• Understanding of GAAP revenue recognition principles
• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining models in financial planning tools
• Knowledge of SQL and Tableau a plus
• Team player, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards
• Strong partnership and communications skills
• Experience working in a startup environment, with an ability to balance strategic initiatives and operational execution
  
  

Education Background

• Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science.
