Job Overview
The Engineering Manager is the primary leader and owner responsible for overseeing product development and sustaining engineering for the Cryogenic Pump Functional Unit's global programs. This role focuses on delivering innovative and market-competitive solutions in rotating equipment (Various pump applications). The Engineering Manager is expected to manage projects from concept to market launch using the Stage-Gate process and ensure alignment with global business strategies

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department/organization.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design, development, and engineering of new products while upgrading and sustaining existing products to meet global market demands.
- Drive cost-down initiatives through Value Analysis/Value Engineering and alternate manufacturing processes in collaboration with the global engineering team.
- Act as the primary interface with global sales and marketing teams to capture and translate the Voice of the Customer into actionable engineering requirements.
- Facilitate product development reviews, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives.
- Partner with Global Engineering Design Managers to document and implement product changes effectively.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet business and technical objectives.
- Mitigate risks proactively and ensure contingency plans are in place to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with business development and project management teams to evaluate and structure new opportunities.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards such as ASME, API, etc.
- Promote sustainability in product designs, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with environmental standards.
- Use advanced tools such as CAD/PLM, FEA, and design software for engineering calculations and simulations.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Master Degree is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive and comprehensive product development and engineering experience. Experience with Cryogenic pump industries is preferable
