Introduction
We are seeking an Engineer for electrical maintenance related work to supports in Ahmedabad foundry unit, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance related work which involves Power systems, Melting & Heat treatment furnaces, Cranes, PLC etc.

What You’ll Do
- Ensure to comply with AP and local safety, health, and environment standard, fulfil the mandatory safety requirement and activities: safety training, safety meeting, and all other requirements by AP EH&S and local regulation.
- Monitor the serviceability of plant equipment and facilities and ensure they adhere to safety, housekeeping, and environmental requirements.
- Provide hand-on technical skills at troubleshooting and all related maintenance work or supporting work.
- Responsible for all Electrical equipment regular maintenance and repairing such as all HV / MV & LV transformer power supply system, UPS, Motor drives (VFD), Electrical Heaters, HVAC’s, Heat Tracing, Lighting etc.
- Response to maintenance requirements scheduled or unscheduled/emergency jobs, on 24/7 base, prompt response to requests for assistance and putting in the time and effort to meet our customer’s expectations.
- To be familiar with all equipment in plants, maintain all maintenance equipment accurate documents integrity and equipment history database reachable.
- Provide hand-on technical skills at the troubleshooting and all related maintenance work or supporting work responsible.
- Perform preventive maintenance work and support the implementation of mechanical Integrity work, troubleshooting, repair for all equipment.
- Coordinate or assist of supervision the contractor’s work in the facility or shop to guarantee safety, quality, and reliability.
- Reporting-Time entry weekly and assist supervisor to prepare technical reports/ drawing, etc.
- A Degree in Electrical engineering with minimum 2-5 years in Foundry Industry or diploma in Electrical engineering with minimum 6-9 years in Foundry Industry as a hands-on maintenance technician in Foundry.
- Experience in major shutdown support, project work, plant operations and maintenance efforts. Experience in foundry operation and maintenance is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of vendor contracts and knowledge of shop support in the region is desirable.
- Working experience in a foundry or similar facilities for knowledge in understanding & hands on experience in Power system, control circuit MV/LV, wiring /schematic drawing, motors, transformers, VFD’s, UPS, HVAC, GTG, cable glanding termination, MOV’s, Heaters, Heat tracing, Overhead cranes etc.
- Exposure in numerical protection relays and troubleshooting.
- Exposure of the state electricity compliance.
- Hands on experience in electrical testing of CT’s/ PT’s, VCB’s ACB’s, Motors, Cable, etc. Good Communication & coordination skills.
- Candidates should have relevant experience of Foundry Industry.
- He should have hands on skill for Fault Finding and thorough knowledge of Electrical system prevailing in Foundry set-up and electrical compliance.
- He should be good implementor/challenger for Preventive/Predictive/Productive Maintenance Processes with minimized Break-down Maintenance.
