Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for hardware manufacturing.
- Develop and implement quality systems aligned with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards.
- Oversee product validation, testing, and inspection (CASS, adhesion, hardness, functional tests, dimensional checks).
- Manage customer complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions using 8D, 5Why, and other tools.
- Conduct internal and external audits, and support supplier quality management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve finishes, and enhance process capability.
- Provide training to quality inspectors and shop-floor teams on quality standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with NPD for product development quality and validation.
- Report key quality metrics and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in Quality Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in hardware or automotive manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of forging, die casting, sheet metal, machining, plating, and finishing processes.
- Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and control plans.
- Expertise in problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, Fishbone).
- Experience in managing customer and supplier audits.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
