Credit and Collections Manager

Overview

Supports the Team Lead and Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance & Accounting Department

Responsibilities

• Manage communication with all customers to ensure payments and evaluate all expired accounts and maintain accurate records of customer accounts.
• Monitor all customer emails and ensure completion within the required timeframe/ (TAT).
• Maintain relationships with all customers through emails by sharing customer account status.
• Coordinate with all team members to resolve issues related to cash application (unallocated cash), non-payment of invoice(s).
• Manage communication for all overdue accounts, investigate customer grievances and resolving issues.
• Evaluate and resolve credit hold issues and monitor customer accounts for billing details.
• Collaborate with senior collectors and initiate bad debt write-off.
• Assist cash application specialist with application instruction post confirmation from the customer for unallocated payments.
• Perform research on customers unallocated payments.
• Update bad debt write off spreadsheet in case of non-payment of invoice(s) as per the Collection Process.
• Periodically update and review collection process.
• Prepare process document for the collection process and make necessary changes as and when require.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and local regulations for the collection process.
  
  

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting, or a degree in business administration in finance.
• Experience level: 3 to 4 years in the collection process.
• Must be a perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness.
• Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• An ability to prioritize and manage daily work activity.
• An ability to work independently.
• Must have very good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Must have expertise in MS Office.
• Exposure to tools like Salesforce, NetSuite, and similar ERP systems would be preferred.
• Open to work in shift- 1.00pm to 10.00 pm (US/UK Shift)– Subject to change as per the process need.
