- **Team Leadership:**
- Manage and mentor the collections team, providing training and support to enhance performance.
- Set performance goals and monitor progress against targets.
- **Strategy Development:**
- Develop and implement collection strategies to optimize recovery rates.
- Analyze trends in delinquency and adjust strategies accordingly.
- **Compliance Management:**
- Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of collection efforts.
- **Stakeholder Communication:**
- Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to address issues affecting collections.
- Communicate with external partners, such as collection agencies, as needed.
- **Performance Monitoring:**
- Monitor key performance indicators (kpis) to evaluate the effectiveness of collection efforts.
- Prepare reports for senior management on recovery rates, team performance, and strategy effectiveness.
- **Customer Interaction:**
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and disputes regarding collections.
- Develop customer-focused approaches to improve recovery while maintaining positive relationships.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum [x] years of experience in collections, preferably in the loan or financial services industry.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of collection laws and regulations.
- Proficient in using collection software and ms Office Suite.
- Certification in collections management or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
