Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Civil Engineer to lead and oversee the execution of a new Greenfield industrial project comprising a multistory RCC factory structure, PEB sheds, site development, internal roads, boundary walls, and landscaping. This role is pivotal from Day One, involving close coordination with the principal architect and multiple consultants (electrical, HVAC, structural), and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality execution using the item-rate contract method for civil and PEB works.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

• Collaborate with principal architects and consultants for layout finalization and technical drawings.
• Plan work phases, schedule timelines, and track project milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs across civil, structural, electrical, HVAC, and landscape domains.

Execution Management:

• Supervise execution of civil works, RCC structures, PEB sheds, flooring (Kota, epoxy), and infrastructure (roads, drainage, landscaping).
• Review and interpret civil/structural drawings and BOQs.
• Maintain execution schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Contract & Vendor Management:

• Float tenders and evaluate item-rate quotations from civil and PEB contractors.
• Assist in vendor negotiations, finalize work orders, and monitor performance.
• Certify contractor bills based on item-wise progress and actual site measurements.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain project cost sheets, material consumption, and contractor performance records.
• Generate MIS reports, budget tracking sheets, and progress updates for senior management.

Procurement & Quality Checks:

• Coordinate procurement of civil materials with procurement and ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Conduct quality inspections of incoming materials and executed work.

Key Requirements:

• B.E./M.E. in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial building projects, with at least 1–2 greenfield project executions.
• Strong understanding of item-rate contracting, JMR, civil costing, and vendor billing.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and civil layout drawing interpretation.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets/MS Excel for project tracking, costing, and MIS.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Capable of independently managing site activities and resolving day-to-day execution issues.
