Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) team, specializing in the design and implementation of mechanical systems for various real estate projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, with a strong understanding of building codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) team, specializing in the design and implementation of mechanical systems for various real estate projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, with a strong understanding of building codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development: Create and develop detailed mechanical design solutions for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- System Analysis: Perform load calculations and analysis to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Project Management: Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and client communications.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress, identify issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical design within the real estate or construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and knowledge of HVAC systems and plumbing design principles.
- Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
