Job Description

Based in CDPQ’s India subsidiary and reporting to the Managing Director, Real Estate, the successful candidate will support the Real Estate team in investment, asset management and portfolio management objectives. He / she will contribute to optimizing returns, collaborating on transactions and closely monitoring assets and portfolio companies to create value.

What You Will Do

• Participate in the selection of deals and help prepare preliminary analysis and documents for investment recommendations within established timelines
• Support senior team members by conducting rigorous financial modelling
• Contribute to the creation of internal reports and keep them up to date
• Comprehensively review target properties cashflow projections and target companies’ financial reports, establish comparables that are representative of the competitive universe and conduct their detailed analysis
• Support senior team members in preparing and organizing meetings and discussions with existing and potential partners.
• Systematically conduct in-depth research on current trends in his/her sectors of activity, proactively monitor the news and collect information from relevant sources.
• Develop effective search and monitoring tools.
• Produce sector studies / market screenings to continue to team’s business development
• Participate in the development of work processes and updating required information
• Contribute to asset management, including setting asset and partnership budgets and monitoring actual performance
• Generate value-add in asset management and portfolio management by supporting senior team members

What You Bring

• Should have working rights in India
• At least 2-4 years’ experience in finance/ investment in an international institutional investment firm
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or accounting from a top-tier institution
• Master’s degree in finance, CA and/or CFA designation would be an advantage
• Excellent financial modelling and analysis skills
• Comfortable with software used in finance (Excel, Capital IQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, etc.)
• International experience is preferred especially in Japan and Australian market
• Experience in Indian public markets is a strong advantage
• Fluent English is required, both written and spoken
• Available for frequent international travel
