Key Responsibilities
- Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Ensure financial records are updated and comply with statutory requirements.
- Invoicing & Receivables Management
- Generate and issue client/customer invoices on time.
- Track receivables, follow up on overdue payments, and manage payment schedules.
- Record incoming payments and reconcile them with bank deposits.
- Payables & Expense Management
- Verify vendor bills and process supplier payments.
- Maintain petty cash records and ensure timely reimbursement of approved expenses.
- Monitor company spending and suggest cost optimization measures.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting and taxation standards.
- Maintain audit documentation and coordinate with auditors or consultants as required.
- Payroll Processing
- Prepare monthly payroll and maintain employee salary data.
- Manage statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS) and ensure timely filings.
- Issue payslips and comply with labor and tax regulations.
- Financial Analysis & Budgeting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual and projected financial results.
- Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Audit Support
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audit preparation.
- Organize and provide supporting documents, vouchers, and reconciliations.
- Software & Systems
- Work efficiently on accounting platforms such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Excel.
- Maintain financial data backups and ensure confidentiality.
- Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate with management, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.
- Share periodic financial updates and reports with leadership.
