About This Role
We are seeking highly motivated and innovative Design Engineers who are eager to join ABB now or in the future. This is an excellent opportunity to join our talent pool and be considered for upcoming Design Engineering roles.
This position reports to
Manager - Design Engineering / LPG Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
The work model for the role is: LI#onsite/hybrid
This role is to build the talent pipeline for either of business's in ABB (Electrification/ Automation/ Motion/ Robotics) at Various locations in India (Bangalore/ Faridabad/ Nashik/ Vadodara)

- Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
- Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.
- Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.
- Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development.

Qualifications for the role
- You enjoy working with E-Plan and AutoCAD (Electrical / Mechanical) in either of Electrification / Automation / Motion / Robotics market
- You have 3 to 18 years of experience in Designing of either of the following products LV and MV Switchgear, LV and HV Motors, Power Electronics & PCB
- (Working as Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer / Team Lead / Manager – Design Engg.)
- You have hands on experience in preparing BOM, SLD, Schematic and Manufacturing releases
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of E-Plan or AutoCAD
- Degree Electrical / Mechanical engineering from reputed university
- You are at ease communicating in English
