This position reports to

Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations.

The work model for the role is:

This role supports various Business Areas and Divisions of ABB across multiple locations in India, including Bangalore, Nashik, Vadodara and Faridabad

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Deploying and leading strategy, objectives and targets for Quality Management in line with the Quality Management System, Quality Policy and local strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Supporting specific communication relevant to quality management in your area of responsibility
• Assisting in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management
• Using quality data analytics from the organization to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances
  
  

Qualifications for the role

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical or related disciplines).
• Experience: 2-15 years of experience in Quality Engineering roles from any of these below skills:
• QA, QC & Testing of MV Switchgears/ induction motor manufacturing /Rotating Machines/schematic drawings, IEC standards
• CAPA, QAP, planning and performing quality
• LV Switchgear engineering involving MCC, PCC, IMCC, comprising components like ACB, MCCB, Soft Starters, VFD, ATS, Transformer Bus duct
• knowledge of IEC Standards, SPC, L6Sigma, SAP-QM, Minitab etc
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, preferred Lean Six Sig-ma Green/Black belt certified
• Quality/Process Improvement Tools: 4Q, L6S, 7QC tools, FMEA, QAP/QCP, VSM, APQP/PPAP.
• Experience in quality inspections such as: CTS/CTQ/CTP
