 Supporting Actions

Daily work management

  • Conduct routine analysis of Water, Oil, LOI, Flue Gas, bulk chemicals and Mill performance test.
  • Ensure timely reporting of results to related customers.
  • Immediate escalation of abnormal trends.
  • Maintain logbooks, LIMS test records, and laboratory compliance.
  • Ensure 100% testing compliance as per approved schedule
  • Ensure safe chemical dosing and 100% adherence to PPE usage.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to deliver correct and timely recommendations.
  • Ensure safe and compliant disposal of laboratory waste.

Customer Centricity

  • Deliver accurate and timely water & oil test reports.
  • Immediate communication of correct deviations.
  • Support Boiler, Turbine & Utility teams.

Cost

  • Laboratory Resource Optimization (Chemicals, Glassware & Consumables).
  • Preventing Laboratory instrument.

Cash

  • Maintain Min–Max inventory.
  • Monitor expiry to avoid dead stock.
  • Prevent shutdown losses via proactive monitoring.

Systems

  • Participation in WCM small group activities.
  • Monitoring the health of equipment through LLF.
  • Maintaining Basic Condition of Equipment assigned as owner.
  • Water, LOI, Flue Gas, Mill performance & Oil Quality Trend Evaluation and Performance Monitoring.

Organization

  • Coordination with Operations, Maintenance, Stores & Laboratory Team.

People

  • Ensure continuous skill development.
  • strict SOP compliance.
  • Adherence to Lab standards.

Process

  • Follow approved SOP & testing frequency.
  • Ensure proper chemical dosing optimization.

Safety

  • Must have Understanding and Clarity on PTW System including General, Hot Work, Confine Space and Work at height.
  • Ensure use of required PPE by the associates.
  • Conducting toolbox talk to associates.
  • Reporting of near miss/ Potential Incidence.
  • MSDS, HIRA, SWI awareness & emergency readiness.

Governance

  • Audit-ready documentation.
  • Lab compliance.

Sustainability

  • Optimize blowdown for water conservation.
  • Ensure proper lab waste disposal as per SOP.

Competency building of self and team.

  • Participating in kaizen competition.
  • Attending training program.
  • Imparting training to workmen.
  • Encouraging workmen to give suggestion/ to participate in kaizen.

Mandatory Skills

  • Basic Knowledge of WATER & OIL Chemistry.
  • Basic Knowledge of Safety Standards and Procedures.
  • Basic skill for Coordination.
  • Skills of Team development and Teamwork.
