Role Summary

We are seeking a Data Platform Developer to build the integration pipeline connecting Stibo STEP master data outputs to our Snowflake medallion architecture. This role begins once domain modeling is complete and is responsible for building inbound source adapters, the Stibo-to-Snowflake publish/ingest pipeline, Data Vault structures, and the orchestration and transformation layer (Astronomer/dbt) supporting the Account, Entity Management, Producer, Broker, and Product Hierarchy domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Build inbound source adapters from Policy and Claims admin systems into Stibo STEP (bulk + event-driven feeds)
• Build the Stibo outbound publish pipeline (golden records + xref keys) to cloud storage
• Design and build Data Vault hubs (Account/Party, Entity, Producer, Broker), links, and satellites keyed on Stibo master IDs
• Build Product Hierarchy reference structures and classification tables in Snowflake
• Author schema tests, and lineage documentation for all hubs, links, and satellites
• Execute developer-level unit and integration testing; validate end-to-end record flow per domain
• Support cross-functional testing, regression testing, and performance/load testing alongside QA
• Build Data Store conformed dimensions/facts for downstream BI and Cortex consumption during production rollout

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering / data platform development experience
• Mandatory hands-on Snowflake experience — schema design, performance tuning, Snowpipe/auto-ingest, query optimization
• Experience with Airflow or Astronomer for pipeline orchestration
• Solid SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions across large datasets
• Experience building source-system adapters / API integrations (REST or file-based bulk extracts)
• Understanding of Data Vault modeling concepts (hubs, links, satellites) or willingness to ramp quickly with SME support
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration with offshore SME/QA and onshore stakeholders

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• P&C insurance domain experience, particularly with Policy or Claims admin system data structures
• Prior exposure to Stibo STEP outputs or other MDM platform integration (Informatica MDM, Reltio, Profisee)
• Experience with cloud storage-based publish/ingest patterns (Azure Blob preferred) feeding Snowflake
• Python experience for adapter/pipeline development
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines
