Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the valuation and appraisal of gold assets within our Operations and Services department. This role demands a high level of expertise in gold appraisal to support our gold loan portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely assessment of collateral to mitigate risk and uphold regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of precious metal valuation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct precise and comprehensive appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine accurate market value for loan processing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to gold loan collateral valuation.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior appraisers, providing training and quality control to maintain high standards of appraisal accuracy.
• Collaborate with credit and risk management teams to assess loan eligibility based on gold valuation reports.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and hallmarking standards to inform appraisal decisions.
• Implement and continuously improve appraisal methodologies and documentation processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with branch operations to resolve discrepancies in gold valuation and support timely loan disbursement.
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports and present findings to senior management for decision-making purposes.
• Manage inventory and security protocols for gold assets under appraisal to prevent loss or misappropriation.
• Engage with external vendors and assay laboratories for verification and certification of gold purity when required.
