What’s the role?
As Retail Territory Manager, you are responsible for managing the relationship between Shell and Retailer/Dealer at site level through the S&O pillars of Care for People, Brilliant Basics & Site P&L, and ensuring consistent delivery of the Safe operations, Shell’s Customer promises, and profitability of a cluster of 15 to 20 sites.

As Retail Territory Manager, you are responsible for managing the relationship between Shell and Retailer/Dealer at site level through the S&O pillars of Care for People, Brilliant Basics & Site P&L, and ensuring consistent delivery of the Safe operations, Shell’s Customer promises, and profitability of a cluster of 15 to 20 sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify Gaps in all aspects of site performance (including service and 'people') for responsible geographical area and mandate, advice or offer Retailer/Dealers Shell-recommended tools, processes and support to help them to profitably deliver the Customer Commitment at the Retail site and to develop the business for the mutual benefit of both the Retailer/Dealer and Shell.
- Maximize all sales development potential whilst protecting Shell's interests, through the coaching and motivating of Retailer/Dealer.
- Manage and maintain positive Retailer/Dealer relationships, supporting them to achieve and maintain top class site performance (including counselling and performance management of underperforming sites / Retailers).
- Deliver Sales & Operations targets for geographical area through regular reviews and appropriate action plans.
- Ensure Retailer/Dealer implement all areas of the Customer Commitment and ensure compliance with the Site Operations/HSSE standards, contracts and manuals.
- Play a leading role in implementing the local retail strategy in order to secure the best possible network coverage while maximizing the shareholder interests.
- Ensure that Dealers' and retailers actions do not damage Shell's Reputation.
- Ensure that the retailers trains and develops their staff and understands the importance of people in delivering the Customer Commitment.

- Value Chain Understanding.
- Proven experience in delivering P&L roles – Topline, Margins, Cost, Losses.
- Eye for Detail through setting high benchmark on site operations, HSSE, housekeeping, grooming standards, training, evaluations.
- Ability to grow Site Incomes with equal focus in developing Partner (Retailer) capabilities in a rapidly growing network.
- Competent to lead & deliver the NFR aspirations from every site; with specific focus on driving a professional Convenience Retail business. High quality "Eye for Detail" - Daily Operations.
- Ability to be self-motivated, bringing enormous amount of energy & positive attitude - every day.
- Ability to passionately demonstrating the "People Make the Difference Real" spirit.
