Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Monitor vehicle placement, optimize freight costs, and ensure availability of transporters.
- Minimize detention, demurrage, and turnaround time at plants/warehouses/customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams (planning, Project management) for seamless dispatch execution.
- Manage relationships with transporters and logistics partners to ensure service reliability.
- Track and improve logistics KPIs such as OTIF, freight cost, lead time, and vehicle turnaround.
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes and cost optimization.
- Implement digital tools/solutions for logistics tracking and visibility.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and distribution logistics
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Stakeholder management and coordination
- Cost optimization mindset
- Qualifications: 7–12 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations
- B.E/B.Tech - Electrical/Mechanical Preferably from MVI / Switchgear Industries
