Lead Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement

Job Description Summary

Manage the buying of Hydro Mechanical Components including Heavy Welded Structure / Castings & Forgings / Carbon & Stainless Steel Plates / Standard Hardware’s, Fasteners & Off Shelve Items as per the Drawing & Specification according to Sourcing Rules & Regulations using best practices, negotiation skills & integrity and involving all stake holders (projects, quality & procurement specialist) to deliver the right quality product at right time to the Customer within Budget in align with SQDC.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure the Cost Competitiveness by mandatorily following the SQDC on all aspect
  
  
• Build a strong GEV-Supplier business relationship with Integrity & Compliance.
  
  
• Review the PR’s allocated (Global & Regional) and float RFQ through OSCAR and align with GCL (Global Commodity Leader) and PS (Procurement Specialist).
  
  
• Organize Technical Alignment Meeting with supplier and all concern team members and ensure to close all the TAM points before PO Placements with the responsible personnels
  
  
• Liaise with PSCM and Project and update the status of PR’s in advance to ensure the project needs are fulfilled.
  
  
• Participate in the Concept Design Review, Basic Design Review & Detail Design Review Meetings and provide the inputs to optimize the design which results in the product optimization (Cost/Leadtime/Process Improvement)
  
  
• Provide all technical and cost according to the recent market and in some cases to arrange offer from the supplier for high-cost solidity for tendering projects. Regular update the Tender Base Reference Cost file for all commodity components identified.
  
  
• Prepare Rate Contract / Frame Agreement on all possible components with best supplier on SQDC.
  
  
• Collaborate with team to provide and get support and to ensure always the team wins
  
  
• Active participation in RCA on any NC which lead by supplier quality and ensure to get the amount from supplier on all identified Vendor Bill Back.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering stream (like Mechanical, Electrical, Production)
  
  
• Overall 8+ Years with minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant purchasing of heavy fabrication/welded components.
  
  

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems along with Engineering Drawing understanding. Strong communication & build business relationship with Supplier.
