Role Overview
The IT IS Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing Accelleron’s global IT sourcing and supplier management activities. The role focuses on managing sourcing initiatives, supporting strategic vendor relationships and ensuring effective governance of key IT suppliers.
This position plays a critical role in RFP management, supplier performance management, sourcing governance and sourcing PMO activities, ensuring that IT sourcing initiatives deliver value, mitigate risk, and align with business and IT strategy.
The role will work closely with Global IT leadership, procurement, finance, legal and suppliers, ensuring efficient sourcing processes and strong supplier performance across the IT ecosystem.

The IT IS Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing Accelleron’s global IT sourcing and supplier management activities. The role focuses on managing sourcing initiatives, supporting strategic vendor relationships and ensuring effective governance of key IT suppliers.
This position plays a critical role in RFP management, supplier performance management, sourcing governance and sourcing PMO activities, ensuring that IT sourcing initiatives deliver value, mitigate risk, and align with business and IT strategy.
The role will work closely with Global IT leadership, procurement, finance, legal and suppliers, ensuring efficient sourcing processes and strong supplier performance across the IT ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Supplier & Partnership Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers supporting critical business applications and platforms.
- Act as a coordination point between global IT teams and suppliers for operational and strategic topics.
- Lead and support end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for IT services and technology sourcing initiatives.
- Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and evaluation of proposals to support vendor selection.
- Coordinate cross-functional evaluation teams including IT, procurement, finance, and legal stakeholders.
- Prepare sourcing documentation including RFP templates, evaluation frameworks, and commercial comparisons.
- Support negotiation preparation and ensure structured supplier selection decisions.
- Coordinate and manage Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments, SLAs, and KPIs.
- Track improvement actions, escalations, and performance follow-ups with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support supplier governance processes including performance tracking, risk reviews, and contract lifecycle monitoring.
- Ensure suppliers comply with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Act as PMO support for IT sourcing initiatives, ensuring sourcing projects are executed in a structured and timely manner.
- Track sourcing pipelines, supplier initiatives, contract renewals, and savings initiatives.
- Maintain sourcing dashboards, supplier performance reports, and governance documentation.
- Support the coordination of supplier onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure sourcing activities follow internal governance, procurement policies, and approval processes.
- Support cost optimization initiatives through data analysis, benchmarking, and supplier negotiations.
- Assist in structuring and managing MSAs, SLAs, and Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure flexibility and minimize vendor lock-in.
- Analyze IT sourcing spend and identify opportunities for optimization and improved supplier utilization.
- Work with procurement and finance teams to improve cost transparency and sourcing efficiency.
- Work closely with Global IT Procurement Managers and IS leadership to align sourcing activities with business priorities.
- Collaborate with IT domain owners, finance, procurement, legal, and information security teams.
- Ensure alignment between sourcing activities and IT strategy, security policies, and compliance requirements.
- Support knowledge sharing and best practices within the sourcing and vendor management community.
- 8–10 years of experience in IT sourcing, IT procurement, vendor management, or IT contract management
- Proven experience managing RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and vendor governance
- Experience working with global IT suppliers and service providers
- Strong understanding of IT services sourcing and technology supplier ecosystems
- Experience in contracting and licensing related to major IT vendors such as SAP and Microsoft
- Familiarity with IT outsourcing, application services, and cloud service contracts
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support sourcing decisions
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives in parallel and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Experience handling supplier performance discussions and conflict resolution
- Familiarity with ERP platforms (SAP or equivalent)
- Experience with procurement platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, or similar sourcing tools
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and sourcing documentation
- Experience in a technology-driven, manufacturing, engineering, or product-based company is preferred.
