Hardware Asset Management

• Manage lifecycle of hardware assets (procurement → deployment → IMAC → retirement).
• Ensure every asset is uniquely identified, tracked, and recorded.
• Monitor asset status, ownership, and location.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory (as per schedule or audits).
• Maintain reconciliation between physical inventory and CMDB.
• Manage stock levels and asset availability.
• Ensure accurate updating of CMDB for: Installations, moves, adds, changes (IMAC), Asset decommissioning and disposalHardware upgrades and replacements

• Maintain relationships between hardware, software, and services.
• Register new assets with unique identifiers.
• Validate asset data (serial number, configuration, ownership).
• Ensure compliance with asset naming conventions and standards.
• Manage asset retirement as per approved process.
• Ensure:Secure data wiping,Environmental compliance (e-waste regulations)

• Coordinate with third-party vendors for disposal.
• Track hardware orders and ensure correct delivery.
• Resolve discrepancies between ordered and received assets.
• Work with procurement teams for asset planning.
• Support internal/external audits.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in asset records.
• Maintain audit trail of asset movements.
• Use ITAM tools (ServiceNow HAM, SCCM, Intune, discovery tools).
• Enable automated asset discovery and CMDB updates.
• Integrate with enterprise systems for real-time updates.
• Implement AI-enabled asset discovery for hardware devices.
• Use AI models for: - Inventory reconciliation,Asset lifecycle prediction,Failure risk analytics

• Enable drift detection of configuration deviations.
• Provide reports on: Inventory status, Asset lifecycle status, Utilization and aging assets
• Support capacity planning and asset refresh cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in Hardware Asset Management / IT Asset Management
• Strong knowledge of:
  • IT hardware lifecycle processes
  • CMDB management and data governance
• Experience with ITAM tools (ServiceNow HAM, SCCM, Intune)
• Hands-on experience in inventory audits & reconciliation
• Understanding of data center and end-user hardware assets

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SIAM model
• Knowledge of ITIL SACM framework
• AI/automation tools experience in asset discovery
• Vendor and contract management exposure
• Certifications: ITIL v4, CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional)

Mandatory Skills: ITIL - IT Hardware Asset Management .
