Homeie is building the consumer company for where you live.

The first product is the smartest way to rent a home in India. You tell Homeie what matters once, and our AI understands your taste, searches and coordinates across a fragmented offline market, helps you see only the homes actually worth considering, and gets the transaction done, including ₹0 security deposit upfront. What takes weeks today should eventually feel like one really good afternoon.

But renting is only where we enter the relationship. Where you live quietly shapes a huge part of your life: how you commute, where you spend, which neighbourhood you become part of, how much you pay every month, and eventually where you choose to buy a home. We think AI makes it possible to build an entirely new consumer experience around that relationship, one that becomes more useful the longer someone stays with Homeie.

Over time, Homeie should help you rent a home, understand your housing history, know what matters around where you live, make every move easier than the last, and eventually help you buy your first home.

We’ve raised $750k from a stealth fund, whose backers include Abstract Ventures, Bain Capital and Long Journey. We are still a very small team, which means the people joining now will have an absurd amount of influence over what Homeie becomes.

What will you do:

• Figure out how we get our first few hundred renters. Reddit, offices, partnerships, classifieds, referrals, going on the ground, weird hacks nobody has tried. Whatever works.
• Figure out where the best supply actually comes from, how we work with those people, what incentives make sense, and how we consistently get great homes when a renter shows up.
• Spending time on the ground with renters, brokers and partners instead of forming opinions from a spreadsheet.
• Work with engineering and product to turn things we repeatedly do manually into software.
• Figure out how we win one small part of Gurgaon, then turn that into the playbook for the next 50 markets.

Who we're looking for:

• I don’t care too much about pedigree. This is probably a good fit if you have repeatedly found yourself taking ownership of things nobody formally gave you, enjoy switching between thinking and doing, are comfortable speaking to customers in the morning and working through a product flow at night, and care a lot about the quality of what eventually reaches the user.
• You could be 21 and have never had a proper job; you could have spent two years at Bain; you could have tried building a company, worked at an early-stage startup, or done something completely unrelated.
• You should enjoy messy problems. A lot of things here will not have an obvious answer yet.
• We’re very early. You’ll be one of the first people building Homeie, and will have an unreasonable amount of ownership from day one.
