Job Description: GCP DevOps – Senior Programmer Analyst (Exp: 3+ Years to 5 Years)
We are looking for a highly skilled GCP Cloud DevOps engineer to design, implement, automate, and support cloud infrastructure and application platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a Senior Programmer Analyst. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation using Terraform, CI/CD implementation, application deployments, monitoring, and production support. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable cloud solutions, implementing DevOps best practices, managing cloud infrastructure, supporting application deployments, and ensuring platform reliability through monitoring and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation using Terraform, CI/CD implementation, application deployments, monitoring, and production support. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable cloud solutions, implementing DevOps best practices, managing cloud infrastructure, supporting application deployments, and ensuring platform reliability through monitoring and operational excellence.
- Experience should have 3+ Years to 5 Years of DevOps.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
- Provision infrastructure using Terraform following established Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and templates.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Terraform modules for infrastructure automation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Cloud Build, and related DevOps tools.
- Support automation of application deployment processes across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Assist with deployment and support of applications on GCP platforms such as GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and App Engine.
- Support cloud networking configuration including VPCs, Load Balancers, Cloud DNS, Firewall Rules, Cloud NAT, and VPN connectivity.
- Assist in implementing IAM roles, service accounts, and secrets management following security guidelines.
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health and performance, and escalate issues as needed.
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of production incidents, including P1 and P2 issues, under senior guidance.
- Participate in on-call support rotations as part of the operational support model.
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Perform operational tasks such as resource provisioning, scheduling, and environment maintenance.
- Support database operations, including monitoring, backup validation, and routine maintenance for Cloud SQL and related services.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and senior DevOps team members to ensure smooth delivery and deployment processes.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to sprint deliverables.
- Document work performed, including configuration changes, deployment steps, and troubleshooting notes.
- Continuously build technical knowledge of GCP services, DevOps tools, and best practices.
- Set up and configure CI/CD pipelines for new services and assist in automating build, test, and deployment steps under senior guidance.
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and build scripts/automations (using Python, Shell, or Terraform) to streamline infrastructure and deployment work.
- Run vulnerability scans on infrastructure, container images, and dependencies, and support tracking and remediation of identified findings.
- Support security monitoring activities, including reviewing alerts from vulnerability scanning and cloud security tools, and escalating findings to senior engineers.
- Experience with Google Dataproc is a Plus.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
- Familiarity with other CI tools like TravisCI, CircleCI.
- Monitor systems using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Understanding on the SDLC.
- Understanding on the Agile methodologies.
- Communication with customer and producing the Daily status report.
- Should have good oral and written communication.
- Should be a good team player.
- Should be proactive and adaptive.
