Executive Manager - Consumer & Shop Insights

PepsiCo

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Hyderabad, Telangana
Contract type: Full time
Overview

In response to growing complexity across Global Foods Group (GFG) initiatives, leadership has recognized that the current Purchase Order (PO) process has become overly cumbersome and inefficient. POs often require extensive back-and-forth across multiple stakeholders, unclear handoffs between onshore teams and offshore processing, and repeated rework due to missing or misaligned inputs. As a result, POs are frequently issued far later than needed, creating friction with suppliers and slowing critical work. This role is intended to bring structure, ownership, and end-to-end visibility to the PO process by proactively coordinating stakeholders, resolving issues early, and ensuring timely and accurate PO issuance. By strengthening process discipline and accountability, the role will materially

Responsibilities

PO Process Management (Primary Responsibility)

  • Serve as the day‑to‑day owner and coordinator of the GFG PO process, ensuring POs move smoothly from request through issuance.
  • Act as the central point of contact between GFG stakeholders and the offshore PO processing team, ensuring all required inputs, documentation, and approvals are complete and correctly routed.
  • Proactively track PO status, timelines, and bottlenecks, following up with approvers, finance partners, and procurement teams to prevent delays.
  • Ensure PO accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving issues related to incorrect coding, scope mismatches, or missing information before issuance.
  • Escalate risks early when POs are at risk of delay, enabling timely intervention and avoiding downstream financial or supplier impacts.
  • Build and maintain clear tracking tools and visibility dashboards (e.g., PO logs, aging trackers) to support transparency and accountability.
  • Support continuous improvement by documenting common issues, recurring delays, and process gaps, and partnering with onshore teams to simplify and standardize the PO workflow.
  • Partner with the finance team to reconcile POs with budget and report the status of GFG budget to LT during regular intervals
  • Performance Reporting & Growth Navigator Support (Secondary Responsibility)
  • Support the development of QBR, AOP, and ad‑hoc leadership materials, including standardized performance reports and scorecards.
  • Aggregate and structure Growth Navigator data across markets, categories, and time periods, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Move beyond data aggregation by identifying patterns, trends, and outliers, and articulating what the data is signaling for the business.
  • Develop clear insights and implications from performance data (e.g., progress vs. benchmarks, areas of over/under‑performance, shifts vs. prior periods).
  • Partner with onshore analytics and category leads to translate insights into executive‑ready narratives, charts, and summaries.
  • Support the evolution of repeatable templates and automated outputs to improve efficiency and reduce manual rework over time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; background in business, finance, analytics, or related field preferred.
  • 10 + years of experience in operations, analytics, finance support, or PMO type roles, ideally within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of PO, procurement, or finance workflows; experience working with enterprise financial systems strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (tracking, validation, structured analysis); PowerPoint proficiency required.
  • Experience supporting business performance reporting and working with large, multi market datasets.
  • Experience in working with NielsenIQ/Kantar data sets
  • Ability to synthesize data into clear insights, conclusions, and recommendations, not just tables or charts.
  • Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior, global stakeholders.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).

Essential:

  • Highly organized, proactive, and process‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and follow‑through.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and navigating complex, cross‑functional processes.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to connect data to business context and implications.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence without formal authority.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, focused on simplification, standardization, and efficiency gains.
