Job Description

Roles and Responsibility:

Data Architect designs master blueprint for OSB’s organization's entire data architecture. This blueprint ensures that OSB data architecture components and assets are properly managed and aligned with its strategic business objectives.Contributes and provides input to the Enterprise Data Architecture Strategy which defines how different architecture components are organised and what are their capabilities to satisfy different consumption patterns.Contributes to the development of the Total Costs of Ownership model of the enterprise data architecture consisting of people, process and technology.Collaborates with OSB business leaders and stakeholders to understand their domain goals and then translates those needs into requirements for the data architecture.Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on best industry practices that define OSB business data objects and their relationships. These models serve as visual representations for both the technical and non-technical stakeholders for variety of usages.Proactively supports different consumption patterns such Citizen Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers by providing a structured, integrated, and reliable data foundation. The data architect enables data scientists and analysts to perform their work effectively and derive value from data.Effectively leverages the data and the required architectural components to develop Data Exploration & Experimentation Capability within the Data OfficeEstablishes guidelines for the entire data lifecycle management cycle, from creation to acquisition, storage, use, archiving, and disposal, to ensure compliance and minimize redundancy.Create a high-level design that defines the structure and relationships of data across the entire enterprise. This includes mapping data flow, integration points, and storage mechanisms.Has ability to work with both internal and external data (structured, semi structured and unstructured).Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, Basel etc.).Participates in the enterprise data governance bodies and follows the data governance framework.Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, data models, and technical solutions.Keep up with the latest and emerging technologies including AI.Continuously improve the architecture based on feedback, evolving requirements, and technological advancements.Help maintain and support gradual decommissioning of architecture components and data which has passed their legal and commercial end of life.Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do;Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected and managed.
