Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Data Scientist to join our People Analytics & Insights team. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to uncover insights from workforce data, supporting strategic talent decisions across the organization. You will partner closely with HR, Talent Management, and business leaders to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance employee experience, improve workforce planning, and inform diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large and complex HR datasets (e.g., engagement, attrition, performance, compensation, hiring) to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for business impact.
- Build predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., attrition risk, career pathing, workforce segmentation) to support data-informed people strategies.
- Translate business problems into analytical questions and communicate findings in clear, actionable terms to non-technical audiences.
- Develop visualizations, dashboards, and storytelling tools to enhance insight delivery (e.g., in Tableau, Power BI, Workday Discovery Boards).
- Partner with HR stakeholders to identify KPIs, define success metrics, and improve people-related decision-making through data.
- Design and implement surveys, experiments (A/B testing), and causal inference models to evaluate the impact of HR programs and initiatives.
- Ensure ethical data use and compliance with privacy and governance standards.
- Stay current on industry best practices in people analytics, data science, and AI/ML in HR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role, ideally within HR or workforce analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in technical skills for data manipulation and statistical modeling (Python, R, PySpark, SQL etc.) Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with Databricks, AWS (Sagemaker. Glue etc.), Azure, GCP.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Workday Discovery Boards).
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience in advanced DS skills: NLP, Deep learning, LLMs, MLOps etc.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to HR and business audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of DEI analytics and workforce diversity measurement.
- Familiarity with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or other HRIS platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of HR functional areas like talent acquisition, performance management, and learning & development.
