About the Role

As a Consultant II, Professional Services, you will support and enhance payment processing solutions that enable critical financial transactions for clients across the payments ecosystem. You will work with C and C++ technologies to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize complex payment applications while ensuring service reliability and client satisfaction. Success in this role is measured by system stability, timely issue resolution, operational excellence, and effective collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. You will contribute to both production support and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced fintech environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support and maintain payment processing applications built using C and C++ technologies
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, performance, and production issues
• Monitor critical systems and proactively address operational risks
• Analyze logs, system behavior, and transaction flows to identify root causes
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and client-facing teams to deliver solutions
• Implement fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes following established processes
• Support application deployments, upgrades, and environment maintenance activities
• Ensure adherence to service level agreements and operational standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures
• Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience developing or supporting applications using C and C++
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line tools
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and production support processes
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring, debugging, and system diagnostics
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in payments, transaction processing, switching, or banking systems
• Knowledge of financial services, payment lifecycle, or card transaction processing
• Exposure to production support in high-availability environments
• Familiarity with shell scripting and automation techniques
• Understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management practices
