Afternoon Pharmacy Clerk

JOB TITLE: Pharmacy Clerk

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

DIVISION: Pharmacy

RATE: $15 per hour

Hours: 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (M-F)

Status: PRN

Position Summary

Responsible for fulfilling customer orders under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and performing various administrative tasks to aid in the smooth and timely operation of the Pharmacy.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide service to customer pharmaceutical needs demonstrating a positive attitude.
• Assist as directed with filing, storing, packaging, mailing and delivering pharmacy products.
• Assist with inventory control and checking for outdated products.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining facility and connected operations.
• Sell OTC products to outpatients.
• Attend meetings as assigned.
• Provide feedback to management regarding performance improvement priorities. .

Basic computer skills, human relations skills, tact, ability to deal with stressful situations.

Equipment To Be Used

Pharmacy computer, printer, opus system, heat sealer, shredder, cash register

Typical Physical/ Mental Demands

Must be able to stand on feet all day.

Working Conditions

The employee works in an environment with biological, chemical and mechanical hazards. The employer will provide appropriate training, protective equipment and engineering controls for the protection and safety of the employee. As a condition of employment the employee is required to abide by all risk management regulations including the proper use of protective devices and procedures.
