Summary
The Access Field Manager is accountable for developing and implementing state-level access strategies and partnerships that address priority access barriers and support healthcare system evolution. The role works closely with state healthcare systems, government institutions, public health bodies, payers and other stakeholders to co-create sustainable solutions that improve timely and appropriate access to Novartis therapies across targeted states and Union Territories in India.

The Access Field Manager is accountable for developing and implementing state-level access strategies and partnerships that address priority access barriers and support healthcare system evolution. The role works closely with state healthcare systems, government institutions, public health bodies, payers and other stakeholders to co-create sustainable solutions that improve timely and appropriate access to Novartis therapies across targeted states and Union Territories in India.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Co-create market access initiatives with government institutions and health administrations.
- Assess patient journeys and remove access barriers through health system strengthening.
- Identify innovative access channels for reimbursed beneficiaries.
- Develop strategic and tactical access plans aligned to the portfolio.
- Deliver health system solutions, disease awareness initiatives, and pathway creation programs.
- Unlock alternative funding sources, including public-private partnerships and Managed Entry Agreements.
- Build relationships with government officials, policymakers, healthcare providers, and patient organizations.
- Support state-level advocacy and public policy engagement.
- Partner with marketing and communications teams on value proposition messaging.
- Relevant science degree plus a master's degree in business administration, Public Policy, Communications, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including 5+ years in public health, market access, healthcare strategy, development sector, or related fields.
- Experience working with state governments, public health institutions, payers, and healthcare administrators.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder leadership skills.
