You will be working as External and leadership communications specialist at global grade 13 and will be part of Large Motors & Generators Business Area for Motion Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Motions Communications Lead. As the Marketing Communications, Brand & Events specialist at Motion India, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. You will be responsible for managing marketing communications, branding initiatives, and organizing events or exhibitions to promote ABB Motion's products and solutions effectively.
Your responsibilities
- Developing strategies to enhance the visibility of motion executives within the industry.
- Positioning ABB's Motion India executives as thought leaders, identifying opportunities for executive contributions such as articles, speaking engagements, and interviewing in collaboration with PR agency.
- Collaborating closely with motion leaders to understand their messaging priorities and key themes.
- Drafting compelling speeches, presentations, and talking points tailored to various audiences and platforms.
- Ensuring messaging aligns with the company's vision, values, and strategic objectives.
- Establishing and maintaining brand voice guidelines for external communications.
- Monitoring and reviewing all external communications to ensure consistency in messaging and brand representation.
- Providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners on adhering to brand standards.
- Working closely with internal communication teams to align external messaging with organizational goals and initiatives.
- Sharing insights and best practices to foster a culture of effective communication within the organization.
- Identifying and gathering compelling success stories and customer case studies that high-light the value of Motion solutions. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to lever-age these stories in external communications, including press releases, blog posts, and social media campaigns.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, Public Relations, or related field (Mas-ter's degree preferred).
- As part of our team, you'll be taking on a temporary role at ABB, contributing your skills and expertise to our exciting projects.
- Proven experience in external communications, thought leadership positioning, and executive communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging messaging.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the or-ganization.
- Familiarity with communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools.
- Knowledge of the industrial motion, automation or technology industry is a plus.
