Role Overview Description

• As a React Native Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Edstem's mobile applications.
• You will work closely with product and design teams to understand requirements and implement new features and bug fixes.
• Testing code for robustness, maintainability, and ensuring proper functionality.
  
  
  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable and efficient React Native code for our cross-platform mobile apps.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement designs and specifications provided by product and design teams.
• Develop new features and optimize application performances.
• Adhere to code quality, organization and writing reusable code.
• Collaborate with other teams like web, backend and design.
• Review code, provide feedback and approval of other team members.
• Handle error cases, debugging and ensuring deployment stability.
  
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building mobile applications with React Native.
• Hands on experience building both Android and iOS apps using React Native.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.
• Expertise in component-based and single page application architectures.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and consuming web services.
• Experience with testing tools like Jest and familiarity with TDD/BDD.
