We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fund Accounting Ito join our Alternative Operationsteam. This role is located in Pune, MH - Hybrid role

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Conduct training needs analysis and identify the learning objectives and gaps of the fund accounting team.
  • Create and update training materials, such as presentations, manuals, case studies, and quizzes, that reflect the best practices and standards of alternatives fund accounting.
  • Deliver training sessions, both online and in-person, to the fund accounting staff and managers, using various methods, such as lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and exercises.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the training programs and collect feedback from the participants and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the training metrics, such as attendance, completion, satisfaction, and knowledge retention.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the alternatives fund industry and incorporate them into the training curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the fund accounting team and other departments, such as compliance, risk, and operations, to ensure alignment and consistency of the training content and delivery

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the accounting and reporting principles and practices of alternative investment funds, such as GAAP, IFRS, and US tax.
  • Proficient in the use of fund accounting software, such as Investran, Geneva, or Yardi.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and learning styles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Certification in fund accounting, instructional design, or training delivery is an asset
