Roles & Responsibilities

• Leading the development and implementation of custom Shopify themes and apps to enhance user experience and functionality.
• Architecting and implementing solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborating with designers to ensure the integrity of the UI/UX design is maintained throughout the development process.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Optimizing website performance, including page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Integrating third-party systems and APIs to extend the capabilities of the Shopify platform.
• Conducting code reviews and providing mentorship to junior developers to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in e-commerce and Shopify development to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure the stability and reliability of the e-commerce platform.
• Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide estimates, and deliver solutions that meet project timelines and objectives.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile optimization techniques.
• Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques and best practices.
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Shopify Plus certification is a plus.
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building Shopify themes and customizing Shopify stores using Shopify's APIs.
• Expert knowledge of Shopify templating language (Liquid), Sections, themes.js, app.js, asset pipelines etc.
• Proven experience integrating payment gateways, shipping providers, inventory management and other third party apps.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and basic knowledge of server-side languages like PHP.
