Western Vocal Music Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Western Vocal Music Teacher to join our team at The Gurukulam School, Varanasi. The ideal candidate should have professional training in Western vocal music and a strong ability to teach, mentor, and inspire students from primary to senior secondary levels.

Location: The Gurukulam School, Varanasi

Position: Full-time

Interview Mode: Face to Face

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Western vocal techniques to students across primary, middle, and senior levels.
• Train students in music theory, sight reading, and ear training.
• Prepare students for stage performances, recitals, and school concerts.
• Conduct and manage choir practices and group vocal sessions.
• Design and implement Western vocal curriculum.
• Encourage and guide students in solo and group performances.
• Collaborate with other performing arts and academic faculty for interdisciplinary events.
• Maintain student progress records and provide regular feedback to parents.
• Participate in school activities, events, and training programs as required.

Key Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Western vocal styles (Classical, Pop, Jazz, Contemporary, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Western music theory and notation
• Experience in vocal training, voice modulation, and breath control techniques
• Ability to conduct choirs and train students for group singing
• Basic skills in instrumental accompaniment (keyboard/guitar preferred.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Passionate about music education and student engagement
• Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and school music education standards
• Comfort using digital tools and apps for music learning

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Music (Western Vocal specialization preferred)
• Minimum 2 to 7 years of teaching experience
