This role is based in Shendra, Aurangabad. You might be required to visit other locations within India and outside. We are looking for Welding Co-ordinator
You’ll make a difference by
Ensure compliance with welding standards (EN ISO 15085, EN ISO 5817, DVS 1622) for rolling stock construction.
- Inspect and monitor welding activities before, during, and after welding, including operational planning of welders.
- Train and guide welders and fitters on drawing specifications, welding parameters, joint geometry, and conduct half-yearly refresher training.
- Perform visual inspection (VT test) on welded frames and components and document results.
- Supervise welding repairs and implement corrective actions for shop floor issues.
- Practical expertise in MAG, TIG, and SMAW processes for railway bogies and complex welded structures.
- Maintain welding supervision records and documentation in SAP and MS Office.
- Decision-making authority to qualify/disqualify welders, stop production, and accept/reject components based on welding quality.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on welding experience or IWS certification with NDT Level-1 in VT testing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (SPS) and ensure proper storage and use of welding materials and equipment.
