Video Designer/Editor (Remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor / Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production, editing, and graphic design. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with our brand's vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing:
• Edit raw footage into polished videos, including promotional videos, social media content, tutorials, and other visual projects.
• Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to enhance video quality.
• Ensure the final product is visually appealing and tells a compelling story.
• Manage and organize media assets and libraries efficiently.
• Graphic Design:
• Create engaging graphics for video content, including titles, motion graphics, infographics, and other design elements.
• Design thumbnails, banners, and other promotional materials for digital platforms.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop cohesive visual branding across all channels.
• Content Creation:
• Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and storyboard new video projects.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques to improve video content.
• Provide creative input to improve the overall look and feel of the videos.
• Project Management:
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project objectives are met.
• Provide regular updates on project status and address any issues that may arise.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Graphic Design, Media Arts, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Video Editor and Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition.
• Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of current digital media trends and best practices.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Minimum 1 year of video editing and post-production experience
• Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Aftereffects, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Canva)
• Strong understanding of graphic design and their principles with software like (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma)
• Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
