Role Summary

Asymbl is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Engineering to lead our engineering organization, which is primarily based in India. This executive will shape our technical direction, elevate engineering excellence, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on Salesforce expertise, strong technical leadership, and a proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams. You will oversee architecture, development, QA, and DevOps while partnering closely with services, product and design leaders to translate strategy into execution and consistently deliver business value.

We are looking for someone with the depth of experience to lead through complexity, strengthen engineering capability, and continuously advance the performance and effectiveness of our platform and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale Asymbls engineering organization in India while building the systems, processes, and technical capabilities required to support company objectives.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership across the engineering function, ensuring alignment between engineering priorities and product and business goals.
  • Partner closely with Product management to ensure clear prioritization, cohesive roadmap planning, and alignment between product strategy and technical execution.
  • Partner deeply with the Services organization to ensure technical alignment, solution scalability, delivery quality, and consistent customer outcomes.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, QA, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
  • Drive engineering best practices through quality frameworks, coding standards, peer review processes, DevOps maturity, and modern development methodologies.
  • Act as the technical escalation point and advisor for complex engineering challenges, architectural decisions, and platform evolution.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team across development, QA, architecture, and DevOps disciplines.
  • Monitor and optimize engineering performance, productivity, delivery velocity, and resource allocation using data-driven insights.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, engineering trends, and Salesforce platform advancements, incorporating relevant innovations into long-term engineering strategy.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, focus, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication and collaboration practices across global teams and :
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 10 years in engineering leadership roles.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in the Salesforce ecosystem with expertise across Salesforce cloud products and platform capabilities.
  • Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Apex, API development, Lightning Web Components, Lightning Data Service, and modern software development frameworks.
  • Deep experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, integration patterns, and enterprise-grade engineering practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through technical complexity, resolve escalations, and make balanced tradeoff decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop technical talent across all levels.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience working across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
