Inviting applications for the role of Vice President – Category Management Center of Excellence Lead

Sourcing and procurement are a critical and growing practice at Genpact. We are recognized as a leader by industry analysts and support a broad portfolio of clients across industries across the complete source to pay value chain. As we continue to grow our offshore category management capability, we are looking for a leader to supercharge that growth.

This is a highly visible position involved in scaling one of our most critical services.It involves strong people leadership, capability building, executive presence to drive client confidence and adoption, and partnering across business teams.In addition, the role will provide a critical leadership presence during sales pursuits and client visits.

Responsibilities

• Expand Genpact’s procurement capabilities in India by expanding our expert category team
• Build a scalable multi-client capability to support clients globally
• Lead key location, organization design, and infrastructure strategies
• Ensure high quality delivery by partnering with our account and category leads to ensure the India COE team delights our internal and external clients
• Mentor and develop employees to ensure career growth and a pipeline of internal candidates to support Genpact’s rapid growth
• Support business development by participating in orals presentations during a proposal process and being an executive host during client visits to India
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the practice as a member of the leadership team
• Build an AI-first mindset in the team and drive ongoing digital enhancements
  
  

Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Graduate / MBA (any stream) with domain experience in sourcing and category management
• Prior experience leading India-based category management teams supporting US clients
• Experience building, managing and developing large teams
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-cultural environment
• Experience managing to financials and performance metrics
• Strategic sourcing expertise
  
  

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Commercially savvy and ability to interact with CXO level
• Experience working as a practitioner in industry
