Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Veterinary Pathologist to support our non-clinical safety and efficacy studies using Ayurvedic test articles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toxicologic pathology, necropsy procedures, and histopathological evaluations. This role involves comprehensive microscopic and gross pathology comprehensive microscopic and gross pathology assessment, reporting, and training responsibilities in a GLP-compliant environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct histopathological evaluation of tissue sections from laboratory animals used in efficacy and safety studies.
  • Correlate findings with gross pathology, clinical pathology, and organ weight data.
  • Prepare detailed pathology reports within strict timelines.
  • Provide expert pathology input in the interpretation of preclinical studies.
  • Perform animal necropsies and train staff in standard necropsy procedures.
  • Supervise and train histopathology technicians in tissue trimming, processing, and slide preparation.
  • Effectively communicate pathological observations to study directors and senior management.
  • Perform speciality staining techniques, including immunohistochemistry, as needed.
  • Contribute to scientific publications (in journals with an Impact Factor 2 +).

Educational Experience And Requirements

  • M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3–8 years of experience in toxicology or research pathology (industry preferred).
  • Skilled in gross necropsy techniques and microscopic tissue evaluations.
  • Familiarity with GLP and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Strong training skills to mentor technical staff and ensure artefact-free histological slides.
  • Proficiency in scientific writing and documentation.
