Position Title: Vendor Development and Sourcing Specialist - EV Electronics

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Vendor Development and Sourcing Specialist to focus on sourcing electronic components for electric vehicle Electronics projects. This role involves managing the end-to-end sourcing process, collaborating with engineering teams on Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), and ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality components that meet our specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Identification and Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for electronic components used in EVs.
• Conduct supplier audits and performance assessments to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Sourcing and Procurement:
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic components, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms while managing risks.
• EBOM Development:
• Collaborate with engineering teams to create and maintain accurate Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) for EV electronics.
• Ensure all components in the EBOM are sourced and available to meet project schedules.
• Supplier Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and innovation.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement improvement plans when necessary.
• Market Research and Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and technologies in EV electronics.
• Analyze supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to align sourcing activities with project requirements.
• Communicate sourcing updates and supplier performance to relevant stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• BE/BTech (Electronics).
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in vendor development, sourcing, or procurement, specifically in electronics or automotive sectors.
• Familiarity with EBOM processes and electronic components used in EVs is preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of electronic component specifications and quality standards.
