Manual Test Engineer

Educational Qualification (Any Pre-requisite): Graduate/Postgraduate

Minimum Experience: 2-5 years

Primary Skills - Technical:

• Working experience in Test Design (Creation of Test Scenarios and Test Cases) based on the functional specification document
• Working experience in estimating the efforts required for Test activities (Test design and Test Execution)
• Working experience in System Testing/ System Integration Testing/ Regression Testing/User Acceptance Testing for BFSI applications
• Experience in defect triaging
• Good understanding of Testing Life Cycle and working experience in latest Test tools (JIRA, ALM etc.)
• Working experience in creation of Test Execution reports as per the client requirements
  
  
  

Primary Skills - Non -Technical:

• Quick Learner: Ability to learn new technology, tools and best practices in Testing
• Should be good in problem solving and debugging
• Proactive and assertive attitude
• Good in verbal & written communication
  
  
  

Secondary Skills:

• Has good understanding of Test Automation concepts and Test Automation tools
  
  
  

Special Requirements (e.g. in case of Production Support, would shift timings be required):

• Knowledge of BFSI domain 2. Experience of Agile projects would be an added advantage
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Create Test Scenario’s and Test cases based on Functional Specification document
• Prioritize Test cases for execution and execute the Test Cases
• Raise defects in Defect Management tool
• Walkthrough of defects to Development team and business team
• Participate in Defect triage meetings
• Provide summary and detailed Test Execution report to Test Lead/Test Manager
• Support Test Automation team
