In this role, you will provide support to customers making the switch to Google Cloud. When customers cannot resolve issues themselves, you will ensure that we have the necessary tools and processes to swiftly resolve the issue. You will troubleshoot technical problems for customers with a mix of debugging, networking, system administration, updating documentation, and when needed, coding/scripting. You will help Google Cloud by understanding and advocating for our customers' issues. You will be required to work in a shift pattern or non-standard work hours as needed. This may include weekend work.

Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with two or more of the following: web tech, data/big data, SQL, BigQuery, systems admin, machine learning, networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, or SAP.
- Experience with coding in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript, etc.) and in virtualization and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with Linux/Unix or other operating systems (e.g., Kernel to Shell, file systems, client-server protocols, etc.).
- Experience in data analytics, warehousing, ETL development, data science, or other big data applications.
- Experience with SQL database administration, open source software communities, cloud networking solutions, or distributed computing.
- Experience working in a dynamic organization with extensive cross-collaboration across functions.
- Experience in technical consulting on database design and architecture supporting large enterprise customers with high SLO and SLA requirements.
- Experience with debugging, working on distributed applications or micro-services in a cloud based environment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's data analytics (e.g., BigQuery) and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, building tools, and faster diagnosis.
- Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
- Work as part of a team of engineers and consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support. This will include a need to sometimes work non-standard work hours/shifts and may include weekend work.
- Understand customer issues, advocate for their needs with internal teams, including product and engineering teams, and drive high-quality production.
- Work with customers on their production databases to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale.
