Technical Marketing Engineer - Data Storage & Ecosystem Solutions

Role Summary

As the TME, you will be the technical voice of the product—responsible for building compelling demos, crafting technical content, enabling field teams, and validating use cases across a variety of partner solutions and customer environments. You will work closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Sales Engineering to ensure our solutions are not only technically competitive but clearly understood.

Key Responsibilities

• Demo Architecture & Enablement

• Design and manage lab and cloud-based demo environments for Quantum Myriad and ecosystem solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, AI/ML pipelines, editing workflows).
• Create repeatable, customer-facing demos to support field teams, events, webinars, and partner engagements.
• Technical Content Creation

• Author technical white papers, solution briefs, competitive positioning guides, FAQs, and reference architectures.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop launch content, videos, and hands-on tutorials.
• Solution Validation

• Test and document joint solutions with key ISVs (backup, MAM, HPC, analytics, AI/ML).
• Build and validate technical integration with third-party tools and platforms.
• Field & Partner Enablement

• Provide training and technical guidance to field SEs, partners, and support teams.
• Assist in competitive and customer-facing presentations, acting as a technical expert.
• Product Feedback & Innovation

• Act as a technical bridge between the field and engineering, delivering insights into customer needs, performance tuning, and feature enhancement opportunities.
• Capture insights from the field to guide product enhancements and roadmap direction.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to prioritize features and resolve technical challenges.
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, solutions engineering, or technical presales roles in the storage or data management industry.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise file and object storage systems, protocols (NFS, SMB, S3), and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience with hands-on system configuration in lab environments or cloud-based POCs.
• Understanding of ecosystem technologies such as data protection (Veeam, Commvault), media workflows (Adobe, Avid, Resolve), and analytics/AI frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear, audience-appropriate content and demos.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Quantum products (Myriad, StorNext, ActiveScale, DXi, Scalar) or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with high-throughput, low-latency storage use cases (e.g., VFX, genomics, financial simulations).
• Knowledge of scripting or automation (Bash, Python, Terraform, etc.) to simplify demos and test environments.
• Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage.
