About The Role

The Technical Manager is a pivotal, senior-most position at Biz4Group, responsible for driving architectural excellence, ensuring technical alignment across multiple projects, and mentoring high-performance teams. This role demands a deeply technical, hands-on architect who can also provide robust people, process, and client management (30% focus) to ensure successful, scalable, and secure delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Ownership: Serve as the final technical authority for all major enterprise platforms, designing scalable, secure Microservices and Serverless solutions (AWS Lambda/Fargate).
  • MERN & Polyglot Implementation: Provide expert guidance and hands-on contribution to complex modules using Node.js, Express, and React. Drive integration of specialized services built in Python (e.g., AI/ML, Data Processing).
  • DevOps & Cloud Strategy: Own the CI/CD pipeline (Git/GitHub Actions) and set best practices for Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud resource management on AWS. Ensure cost-efficiency and system observability.
  • Data Strategy: Define advanced data modeling approaches across both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Relational Databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), justifying trade-offs for consistency and performance.
  • AI-First Enablement: Drive the integration of AI/ML models into core business solutions and implement Process Excellence by leveraging automation and AI-driven tools in the development workflow.
  • Trusted Advisor & Mentorship: Actively build trusted advisory relationships, especially with juniors, providing technical guidance, career mentorship, and soft skills development.
  • Culture Shaping & Psychological Safety: Model humility and actively encourage questioning and feedback. Foster an environment of Psychological Safety where juniors and peers can admit mistakes and innovate without fear.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and technically manage a team of 5-10 senior and mid-level engineers, focusing on continuous technical confidence and growth.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary technical anchor for key clients, translating complex architectural concepts into clear business value and managing technical expectations.
  • Risk & Strategy: Proactively identify and resolve technical debt, risks, and systemic dependencies across the entire project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in software development, with a minimum of 3 years in an Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Manager role.
  • Node.js/Express (Advanced back-end design and performance optimization).
  • React/Redux/Context API (Expertise in high-performance front-end architecture). Experience with React Native is advantageous,
  • MongoDB (Advanced data modeling, sharding, and aggregation).
  • Demonstrated professional experience with Python (e.g., Flask, Django, Pandas).
  • Cloud & DevOps: Deep expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC) and proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Soft-Skills Required

  • Exceptional analytical and system-thinking skills.
  • Superior English communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to coach, inspire, and drive accountability within technical teams.
