Team Lead - Technical Documentation

We are seeking a Technical Documentation Lead to oversee the creation, management, and improvement of technical content for our products and services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, experience in managing documentation teams, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure high-quality and user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Management & Strategy

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive documentation strategy aligned with company goals.
• Establish best practices, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and quality across all technical content.
• Oversee the documentation lifecycle, including planning, authoring, reviewing, publishing, and updating.
  
  

Content Development

• Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including Operation, user guides, installation manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to gather information and validate content accuracy.
  
  

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
• Assign tasks, review documentation, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Support, and Marketing, to ensure seamless documentation processes.
  
  

Process Improvement & Innovation

• Implement tools and workflows to streamline documentation processes, such as content management systems (CMS) or documentation automation.
• Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve documentation standards and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility, security, and legal guidelines.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/ Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical writing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with structured authoring and content management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
