JOB DESCRIPTION
We seek an experienced GST Litigation Specialist to handle indirect tax litigation matters and provide expert legal counsel on GST-related disputes.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We seek an experienced GST Litigation Specialist to handle indirect tax litigation matters and provide expert legal counsel on GST-related disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle GST litigation cases before various forums (Tribunals, High Courts, Supreme Court)
- Travel across India as required to handle litigation matters and appear before various tax authorities and courts
- Prepare legal documents including appeals, replies, rejoinders, and written submissions
- Represent the organization before tax authorities during assessments and audits
- Analyze case laws and provide legal opinions on GST matters
- Monitor changes in GST legislation and their impact on ongoing cases
- Coordinate with external counsel and tax consultants
- Monitor legislative changes and judicial precedents in GST law
- Analyze tax notices and assessment orders
- Support internal and external customers by providing expert guidance and resolution for GST-related queries
Either of the following qualification combinations:
- LLB degree with 5-6 years of experience in indirect tax litigation
- CA with 5-6 years of experience in indirect tax litigation
- B.Com, MBA with 10 years of experience in indirect tax litigation
- Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, and regulations
- Experience in handling cases before tax authorities and courts
- Prior experience in a renowned Tax consultancy firm or industry with over 500Cr turnover.
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Negotiation and advocacy skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting
- Good understanding of business operations
- Well-versed in handling large sales and purchase data
- Experience with tax compliance software
- Experience with Advance Excel which includes Power BI, Power Query Etc.
- Knowledge of other indirect tax laws
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong project management skills
- Problem-solving abilities, Team collaboration
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across India for court appearances and litigation matters
- Adaptability and readiness to adopt automation tools and processes
