Job Description

Responsibilities:

This resource is expected to deliver the day-to-day configuration management services to the organization with minimal direction, focusing work on prioritized tasks. Their specific responsibilities include:

• Strong understanding with business requirement gathering and analysis for user needs and technical requirements to guide system development and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Coordinating the integration of various system components and conducting rigorous testing to ensure system performance and functionality.
• Continuously optimizing system performance, identifying issues, and making improvements to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Diagnosing complex technical issues and implementing solutions across different parts of the system.
• Working closely with development, vendors, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure system goals are met.
• Working experience and knowledge on Event Management, Incident Management, MI's, System Outages and how ITIL must be applied in the process of Incident Management.
• Support experience in configuration Management and understanding of PowerShell Scripting with some development background.
• Integration experience with ServiceNow, Chef and network automation tools.
• Basic understanding of scripting and ability to write basic scripts.
• Strong understanding of Windows Event Logs.
• Operational experience with utilization of monitoring tools and good understanding/ working experience with tracing health of agents/ collectors and support.
• Good understanding on windows servers, different types of services, clustering etc.
• Understanding of different types of databases and ability with running queries.
• Mandatory skills around analytics, system issue troubleshooting, ability with understanding error logs, investigate issue to get system up and running with maintaining maximum system up-time.
• Must have working experience on ITSM and SIEM tools recommendations.
  
  

Additional Competencies

• 2-3 years of administrating enterprise Windows and Virtual Environment.
• Working knowledge of SQL server 2014, 2016, Always On.
• Sound knowledge on Various Operating systems flavors, System files, Registry.
• Experience in Linux/Windows/Network administration and operations desirable.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, written and oral communication skills.
• Microsoft Server/ Solutions Certified – preferred.
• Experience in Linux/Windows/Network administration and operations desirable.
• Preferably to have ITIL foundation knowledge/ experience.

BS Degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, OR relevant technical experience.

Typically requires 2-3 years of experience. Detailed technical knowledge is dependent on the specific Altera Product/ Tool/ Application Support/ Development Center requirements. Have working knowledge of Windows Platform and Networking.
