Systems Engineer I

The Systems Engineer I is responsible for all aspects related to the maintenance, repair and support of systems and storage products to ensure continued operation and functionality. This role will act in a technical support and consulting capacity to ensure quality services are provided to both internal and external clients.
Additionally, the Systems Engineer will serve as a mentor and leader for others in the organization and work to continually improve processes and practices.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Ability to provide advanced end user support in an Enterprise environment.
- Ability to support Windows Desktop & Server operating systems
- Ability to interact with customers to schedule troubleshooting and downtime.
- Advanced understanding of Windows Patching
- Advanced understanding of antivirus software
- Ability to handle initiating, tracking, and reporting on software deployments
- Ability to run virus scans and report on outcome
- Basic understanding of VMware
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required

- Comprehensive knowledge of managed services & multi-tenant support environments
- Hands-on virtualization experience using VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Conceptual knowledge of how application data flows over the network (firm foundation of OSI model)
- Proven ability to isolate and diagnose problems with common Internet technologies: DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, SSL
- Knowledge of Patching process and tools (Desktops and Servers)
- Operate with integrity, follow through on commitments, maintain a can-do attitude and
- demonstrate courage under pressure
- Comply with HR policies and meet general employment expectations
