The System Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the organization's core IT infrastructure, including Server, Virtualization, and Storage environments. This position is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of these foundational systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Additionally, they collaborate closely with application, database, and development teams to provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and support cross-functional initiatives that drive business success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Incident and Alert Management in a Service Desk environment.
• Administer datacenter and branch office server/virtualization/storage infrastructures.
• Plan, recommend, implement changes and enhancements to the server/virtualization/storage infrastructures.
• Configure new and existing technology solutions according to best practices.
• Manage existing technology solutions ensuring they are secured, available, performing optimally.
• Assess projects, prioritize tasks, provide time estimates, and complete tasks in a timely manner while communicating changes and updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
• Adhere to and promote existing ITIL processes and standard procedures.
• Develop standards and processes for Level 1 and Level 2 staff.
• Provide remote support for our global operations.
• Stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
• This position will require participation in a rotating on-call schedule for 24x7 global support.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• 6 - 8 years of corporate IT experience supporting Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
• Experience administering and supporting global Microsoft Windows Active Directory networks including Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO and Security.
• Experience administering and supporting storage area networks, rack mount and blade servers, and VMware vSphere environments.
• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Azure.
• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft System Center (SCCM/SCOM).
• Experience developing PowerShell scripts for administration tasks.
• Strong communication skills, very strong English-speaking skills.
• Experience in working as a part of a Global team.
• Experience in Linux server administration is desirable but not required.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Nutanix, and/or VMWare technologies are desirable but not required.
