Supply Quality Engineer - Components and Field Services

As a Supplier Quality Engineer for components and field services at Siemens Energy, you will be an integral part of our mission to ensure fulfillment of requirements to our suppliers. Supporting our multi-functional commodity and operational procurement teams by conducting qualifications, audits & assessments and developing our global product suppliers is integral part of your daily contribution to implement the supply strategy. You will be working and close networking with multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally. SQE is addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Supplier Qualification: Support a multi-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, etc.
• Product and Process Qualification: Lead or support multi-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on commodity parts, systems and field services according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Leading includes the planning, tracking, and reporting of project achievements as well as budget and resource needs.
• Support the supplier quality assurance measures along the complete PPQ. Approve supplier process via submitted Manufacturing Quality Control Plan.
• Perform source / virtual / desk inspection of suppliers of components, systems and field services in the area of responsibility.
• Coordinate nonconformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
• Supervise supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.
• Facilitate recurring supplier qualification & development status meetings. Ensure qualifications are on track and potentials risks are identified.
• Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• 10+ years’ experience in technical field and/or working in Supply Chain.
• Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, industrial engineering, or a similar field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Technical experience with industrial process technology and /or field services in energy generation
• knowledge in welding and coating.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies
• Open minded, results & solution oriented and good analytical thinking. Advanced Communication/Presentation skills, basic Commercial Knowledge.
• Preferably experience as Auditor in acc. to ISO9001 and / or VDA6.3, or as nominated IMS supplier auditor (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001)
